The children loved the day and are still talking about it! We were very impressed with how the children got on and made the food and were willing to try things. That’s all thanks to you and your knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm. Many thanks again for a fabulous day

Newcastle Castle Outreach

George Blair, our Outreach Officer, is a qualified teacher and enthusiastic historian with 10 years of experience working in the heritage sector. He delivers hands on historical workshops covering almost every period on the Primary Curriculum. George can deliver anything from a simple half day workshop for a single class, all the way to a full school, full day experience combining a carousel of varied activities throughout the day. Activities are very “hands-on” and cover weapons and warfare, food and drink, crime and punishment, everyday life and other topics relevant to the period being covered.

As well as anything to do with the Castle - knight school, medieval feasts and even the life of the gong farmer!
